Let’s be real…I chose my ex in part b/c he was cool w/ having a mixed race family. I chose another ex in part b/c he grew up on a reservation, and in my mind I thought he had lovely perspective, as I had some experiences myself and thought he understood some things.

Several family members later, I’m still proud my kids have 1st cousins and step aunts and uncles that are not their race and I will sit in front of them til they understand something about the lives of native Americans.

I’m prob embarrassing myself based on some new book or perspective…no matter. I can’t keep up entirely, even if I try. This should be a blip for them on the road to knowing a shit-ton of people from all over. 😀
